COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

The Jack Jones Shootout, from its beginning, has been a major contributor to youth programs and charities across the nation. From its origin in Memphis, the Jack Jones Shootout has made donations to organizations such as St. Jude Children's Hospital, Youth Villages, Streets Ministries, The Emmanuel Center, and Lionel Hollins Charities.  The Jack Jones Shootout has also supported local youth sports programs in the community with donations to elementary, middle school, and high school athletic programs. Past recipients include Southwind High School, East High School, Central High School, Melrose High School, Ridgeway High School, Olive Branch High School, and many others.

Through the community involvement, the Jack Jones Shootout will continue to host free youth basketball camps and clinics. Some of the past events were complemented with appearances and the assistance of Lionel Hollins, Antonio Anderson, Mike Miller, Chris Douglas Roberts, Thaddeus Young, and Eric Musselman.  The Jack Jones Shootout community involvement contributes a considerable amount of time, resources, and efforts to provide youth with what is needed for them to become all they can be on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.
